When I moved to Arizona in ’06, I went to document Arizona’s mining towns and reservation villages. It took me 6 years. After I took photos of the last town on my list, I knew I had to start thinking of my next project. I loved my Arizona project so much, I decided to do the same thing, but in a new state. I’ve always wanted to go to Montana and as soon as I thought of it, everything about the thought, no, dream, felt right. Things came up and paths turned, as they do, and I have been in Kansas the last two years, dreaming the dream of Montana. Dreaming of my next photography project. I got a promotion at work a little over two months ago and ever since, I have been putting in 60-70 hour weeks to make this dream a reality before the weather makes me wait until spring. Fortunately, I get to take my job with me. My dog, Suttree, Fela the rabbit, Amos the Xterra and I will be making our way northwest next month.
What have I done with my Arizona project? I’m still sitting on that. Thoughts of a book and a big show are in my head. Ultimately, they will be given to the state of Arizona. I figure, though, that it took me so long and so much work to actually do it, that I am in no rush to put out something quickly. I would like it to have some input from other sources/people and it will come when it’s supposed to. To help with the move to Montana, though, I have decided to pick out a few of my personal favorite Arizona images and make limited edition prints. These are *first* edition prints and only (3) have been made of each. The square images are 8×8 and the rectangle images are 8×10. Each one will be titled, numbered and signed on the back. They are professionally printed from my beloved shop in Arizona with a mat finish. They are $60 each (discounted from my normal price of $75) w/ $5 for shipping within the US/$10 outside of the US.
I also have much artwork that needs to go to new homes, since I do not plan on moving with it. My “Art? Blocks” are $15-$25 and the link to those is here:
My drawings and paintings that are available are here:
I also have many beautiful 5×5 prints of Kansas and Missouri available at only $15 each. Please message me and let me know if you would like to see what’s available. I am thrilled at the quality of these.
Now, here’s the kicker: If you purchase (or donate) *ANYTHING* from (or to) me at all, at any price, you will receive a FREE 8×8 or 8×10 Montana print (of your choice) from me in 2015. This is a thank you, for helping this photographer make her dreams a reality, reach her goals and investing in her future.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart and the top of my head, for taking the time to look at my work and read my words. I would be doing photography no matter what, but you all are what makes it that much more enjoyable.
Here are my 11 choices for the Arizona prints (click each one to view larger). Just message me through my Info page as to which one(s) you would like. No plans for a second edition anytime soon. First come, first serve.
*Extra specialness – I have 5 Kansas barn wood frames (made by me) available. They are incredibly rustic and beautiful. 4 are 16×16 (interior) and 1 is 16×20 (interior). I will not be making these again. A picture of 3 of them is down below. If you are interested in having one of the Arizona prints in one, that is possible. They are $325 each (including the print). Carefully packaged by a shipping company and shipping is $25 and US only.
Good luck!
